Jeanne Mengis at EGOS Colloquium

Institute of Marketing and Communication Management

Start date: 28 June 2010

End date: 4 July 2010

IMCA members are heading off to Lisbon for this year's EGOS Colloquium (June 28-July 3). Jeanne Mengis has organised a substream together with Davide Nicolini (Warwick Business School) and Paul Carlile (Boston University School of Management) on Coordination in Action: "Practices of Coordination and the Coordination of Organizational Practices". It will convene prominent scholars such as, among others, Natalia Levina from Stern (New York Uni), Jennifer Whyte (Uni Reading), Alfred Kieser (Mannheim Uni), Carsten Osterlund (Syracuse Uni), Lorna Heaton (Montreal Uni), Raghu Garud (Penn State) as well as younger scholars from the School of Montreal around Charles Taylor. Jeanne looks forward to engaging in interesting conversations especially on how communication approaches to coordination can be weaved together with theories that look at the role of materiality and objects in coordination work.
